Nova Cast Privacy Policy
NovaCast is a media player for the IPTV sources you add yourself. We do not run accounts or servers for the app, and we do not collect, sell or share your personal data.
Summary
- No accounts. You never sign up with us. NovaCast has no login of its own.
- No tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it never asks to track you across other apps.
- Your data stays on your device. Sources, logins, watch history, favorites and profiles are stored only on your iPhone or iPad.
- The app only talks to your sources. NovaCast connects to the servers you add, to load their channels and play their streams. It does not send your data to us.
- Feedback is optional. If you choose to email us, we receive what you write plus a few app and device details, listed below.
Information we collect
We collect nothing automatically. The only information that ever reaches us is a feedback email you choose to send (see Feedback emails below).
NovaCast does not collect:
- your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details
- your location
- your IPTV source addresses, usernames or passwords
- what you watch, search for or add to favorites
- device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage analytics
Apple may share anonymous crash reports and app usage statistics with us, but only if you have turned on Share With App Developers in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. That data is collected by Apple, not by NovaCast, and does not identify you.
Data stored on your device
Everything NovaCast saves stays in the app's private storage on your device. None of it is uploaded to us or synced through iCloud by the app.

This data is protected by your device's own security, such as its passcode. Like other app data, it can be included in your device backups to iCloud or a computer, under the backup settings you choose.
Network connections
NovaCast connects only to the IPTV sources you add, and only to do what you ask: sign in to a source, load its channel, movie, series and program guide lists, show its poster images, and play its streams.
- Your source's provider receives your login details and the streams you request, as it would with any player. How the provider handles that data is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, not this one.
- Poster images and stream addresses come from your source's provider and may be hosted on other servers the provider chooses.
- Many IPTV sources use plain HTTP rather than HTTPS. Connections to such a source are not encrypted, so others on the same network could see that traffic. Use HTTPS sources where you can.
- If you use AirPlay or Picture in Picture, Apple's system features handle playback on your other devices.
We do not provide, host or monitor any source, and we cannot see which sources you add or what you watch.
Feedback emails
Settings → Send Feedback opens an email to hello@chanchalraj.com in your own mail app. Nothing is sent unless you press Send, and you can edit or delete anything in it first.
To help us look into problems, the email is pre-filled with:
- NovaCast's version and build number
- your device's operating system version and model identifier (for example, iPhone17,1)
- your device's language and region setting
- the type of source you're using (Xtream Codes or M3U), but never its address, name, username or password
We receive your email address and anything you write. We use this only to reply to you and to fix problems in the app. We never sell it, share it, or add you to a mailing list.
Third-party components
NovaCast includes no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or social media code.
- VLCKit (by VideoLAN, open source) plays video formats Apple's built-in player can't. It runs entirely on your device and sends no data to VideoLAN or anyone else.
- Apple frameworks handle playback, AirPlay, Picture in Picture, Mail and on-device storage. Apple's privacy policy covers Apple's own handling of data.
Links in Settings, such as this policy or the open source licenses, open in your web browser, and those sites have their own privacy practices.
Children's privacy
NovaCast is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects nothing automatically, a child using it shares no data with us.
Parents can set a parental PIN and create Kids profiles to limit what can be watched. Both are stored only on the device. If you believe a child has sent us a feedback email, contact us and we will delete it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Data on your device stays until you remove it. You're in control of all of it:
- Remove a source in Settings → Sources to delete it, its login, and its favorites, watch history, profiles and cached program guide.
- Clear Continue Watching from the Movies or Series screen, or remove single titles from it.
- Remove the parental PIN in Settings → Parental Controls.
- Delete the NovaCast app to erase everything it has stored on your device.
We keep feedback emails only as long as we need them to answer you and track the problem you reported. Ask us at any time and we'll delete them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act give you the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to how it's used. The only personal data we could hold is a feedback email you sent us. Email us and we'll provide, correct or delete it within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Changes to this policy
If NovaCast starts handling data differently, we will update this policy and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
